THEATRE STYLE:

A large-scale spectacle/ performance.

Start of the performance: By twilight or later.

DURATION:

± 60 minutes

 

(32 people) CREW OF CLOSE-ACT IN PI-LEAU:

25 performers: 24 actors, 1 singer

Crew (7):  6 light and sound technicians, 1 production leader

 

BUILD UP TIME: 

We arrive 2 days before the performance day and depart the day after.

Starting the build-up the day before the day of performance

Build-up time around 7 hours (excluding sound check and rehearsal in the evening).

BREAK DOWN TIME:

Around 4 hours. We need light during the break down time.

 

TECHNIQUE:

Light

- In the Netherlands we use our own light technique and technicians

 

- In foreign countries we use our own technicians, technique will be provided by the organization

Sound

- In the Netherlands we use our own sound and technique and technicians

- in foreign countries we use our own technicians, technique will be provided by the organization

(Technical rider available on request)

 

DETAILS:

- We use hand flares. nr. 0109 UN code, 160 gr.

 

- The performance is played among the public.

 

- When it is possible we prefer to visit the location site in advance.

Otherwise we need good pictures and a map

 

 

GENERAL CONDITIONS

LOCATION DEMANDS

Ground and size of location:

Pi-Leau is particularly performed among the public and therefore needs a spacious location.

 

- A performance area of 2400 m ²  is required. (for example 60 meters broad and 40 meters deep)

 

- A drive up lane to the performance area of minimal 5 meters broad and 7 meters height. This is

necessary for the mobiles that are used during the performance.

 

- Firm, sturdy and non slippery underground.

 

LOCATION AVAILABILITY:

- During one whole day prior to the day of performance and a minimum of 4 hours after the performance free access to location site.

 

- Possibility for a run through with sound technicians and also to sound check and a dry run/ rehearsal at the location site the afternoon and evening before the day of performance.

 

- After the performance break down will start. Location site must surely remain lighted till a minimum of 5 hours after the end of the performance.

 

TO BE ORGANIZED BY ORGANISATION

STREET LIGHTING/ SURROUNDING LIGHTING:

When twilight begins; Street light/ surrounding lights (advertisement-boards, shop lighting etc.) off.

 

DRESSING ROOMS:

- Dressing rooms with running water and toilets nearby performance site.

 

- Dressing rooms must be furnished with enough tables, chairs and mirrors.

 

TECHNIQUE AND MATERIALS:

- In foreign countries technique (light and sound) will be provided, under consultation, by the organization

(Technical riders available)

 

- 3 stage parts 2 m x 1 m + protecting roofs for direction/control-panel, 3 technicians and mix tables.

from this direction/ control panel light and sound are regulated as also the central stage direction.

 

- 16 crush-barriers as palisades for the speakers and light points.

 

- for foreign countries 53 hand flares for each performance, 35 white and 18 red ones which will burn around 60 seconds. (see appendix)

 

ELECTRICITY:  'Strong current' 400 / 230volt:

- One 125Amps, 3 phase, 400Volts 5 pins CEE connector (red) close to the light desk  (F.O.H.).

- Six 16A, 230 volt, monophase schuko. (European schuko connector) Should be placed in dialogue with the technical crew.

 

- 8 stage parts 2 m x 1 m for the speakers

SECURITY DURING PERFORMANCE

- 13 persons security/crew during the performance

If the type of Bengal hand sticks will leave a hot metal piece after burning we need 2 people extra from the organization with small baskets who will take the material away from the ground during the performance for the safety of the audience.

 

SECURITY DURING AND AFTER PERFORMANCE

Security is also needed for direction/ control panel and stage props.

Stage props are by preference build at various places offstage.

Therefore we speak about 4 different build up places.

- 4 people who look after our stage props (13 mobiles, 13 stick-fishes, 3 costume parts and 1 direction/control panel) during lunch/diner breaks and while preparing 1,5 hour before the show and 1 hour after the show

(These security people can be the same as used during the performance).

 

- By more then 1 performing day we need overnight security for scenery, stage props, mobiles and direction/ control panel on location.

 

INTERPRETERS

2 English speaking interpreters.

(This doesn't apply by Dutch, German and English-spoken countries)

- 1 for the production.

- 1 for the performers.

(Under consultation we can deliver our own interpreters for French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese spoken countries).

 

MEALS & DRINKS

- Coffee /Thee/ Soft drinks and sandwiches at the location site during build up and break down time.

- In foreign countries we arrive mostly 1 or 2 days before the performing day

- Warm meal for 32 persons to be served 3 hours before start time of performance.

(+ 13 meals for the security/crew ?)

 

PARKING PLACES NEEDED:

If we don’t travel by plane, 3 vans, 2 trucks and 5 cars.

Cargo arrival in consultation with the organization.

 

OVERNIGHT STAYS (DEPENDS OF DISTANCE AND LOCATION):

for 32 people.
